FEEL GOOD, ACHIEVE MORE, AND END 2020 WITH CONFIDENCE.
FEELING CONFIDENT IN YOUR OWN SKIN CAN HELP YOU TO BECOME HAPPIER, HEALTHIER AND MORE LIKELY TO SUCCEED.
Throughout 2020, many of us have faced challenges we’ve never experienced before, and inevitably, our confidence has taken a hit. For some of us, the pandemic meant losing our jobs, being furloughed, or working from home. For others, COVID-19 led to a loss of social connections, being forced to stay inside, and feeling restricted in everyday life.
However your life has been affected, when you’re in a rut, it can be difficult to know how to feel better. Building up your confidence is key to helping you feel happier, be more productive and more open to new challenges.
WHY IS CONFIDENCE IMPORTANT? CAN MORE CONFIDENCE IMPROVE MY WELLBEING?
Being confident can help you in all aspects of your life. You’ll be less likely to suffer from stress and anxiety, more motivated and less focused on yourself. In turn, this will improve your wellbeing and help you live a more fulfilled and enriched life.
When you have confidence in your own abilities, you’ll find it easier to quash the negative voice in your head, and it’ll be more natural to think of the glass as half full, rather than half empty.
Having confidence in yourself will help you to be less preoccupied with how others see you, and more focused on how others feel. In turn, this can help you to become better at listening, empathising, and helping those around you.
Confidence isn’t something you inherit. Instead, confidence needs to be worked on, built up, and grown little by little. As your confidence grows, you’ll find that your wellbeing improves too.
HOW CAN I IMPROVE MY CONFIDENCE?
Now is the perfect time to start rebuilding your confidence. Forget 2020, and look towards the future with a brighter and more confident mindset.
The first step to becoming more confident is to change the way you think. Don’t be distracted by the negative outcomes of a situation, and instead, focus on the possible positive results. If you’re job hunting, see unsuccessful interviews as experience that will help you to hone your skills and sharpen your technique! If you’re finding it tough to find the good in a situation, drop us a comment and we’ll help you to find the silver lining!
Once you’ve changed the way you think, you can start to change the way you act. Body language plays a huge part in how confident others perceive us to be, and by altering our posture so that we stand a little taller or sit a little straighter, we can help ourselves feel more self-assured.
As the novelty of wearing pajamas to ‘work’ everyday wears off, think about wearing your favourite outfit or some bright lipstick to your first meeting of the new year. Clothes that make us look and feel good will give our confidence a boost, as what we wear can have a dramatic impact on how we feel.
Beauty isn’t skin deep, but having great skin can certainly help us to have more confidence. Think about changing up your skin care routine, and focus on areas that need a bit more TLC. With glowing skin we feel less self conscious, less aware of our appearance, and have more energy to invest into the things that matter to us most.
STEP INTO 2021 WITH CONFIDENCE AND THE MOTIVATION TO ACHIEVE.
If you’re struggling to get motivated for the new year, think back to a time when you felt super confident, and remember how good it felt! If you could start 2021 with all the confidence of that very moment, what would you need to do?
It might be focusing on positive thinking, taking more time to get ready, spending more time taking care of your skin, or something else entirely! Confidence is personal, and building confidence takes time, but small steps can make a big difference.
Feel free to drop us a comment with a time you felt most empowered… We’d love to share in your success and find out what made you feel so confident!
Gaining confidence will help you to take on new challenges, aim for new goals and reach for new heights!
